Delete your Find the Nerd data
The short version: Find the Nerd has no accounts. The only data that can be tied to you is a leaderboard entry you chose to post, and the anonymous statistics that share its scrambled device code. Email alf@findthenerd.com with the subject "Delete my data" and we remove all of it, within 30 days.
What the game can hold about you
The game does not require an account, a login, or a profile. Your progress, scores and settings stay on your device, and uninstalling the game removes them. What can reach our servers is:
- Leaderboard entries you chose to post: The name you typed, your score, how far you got, the mode and difficulty, the time, and a scrambled device code.
- Anonymous play statistics and crash reports, tagged only with the same scrambled device code.
The scrambled device code cannot be turned back into your device, and it is the only link between these records. The full picture is in the privacy policy.
How to have it deleted
Email alf@findthenerd.com with the subject "Delete my data" and tell us:
- The leaderboard name you posted, and
- Which board it is on (Campaign, Daily Mission or Infinite Initiative) and roughly when.
We find your entry, and from its scrambled device code we remove every leaderboard entry, raw play statistic and crash report that carries the same code. We reply when it is done, within 30 days.
If you never posted a score
Then we have no name to find you by. Your play statistics are anonymous: Raw reports are deleted within about a month, and only combined statistics, such as the average clear time of a level, are kept. Those cannot be traced to a person or a device. You can stop statistics and crash reports at any time in Settings > Privacy.
What is kept, and for how long
- Deleted on request: Your leaderboard entries, and the raw play statistics and crash reports that share their device code.
- Deleted on their own: Raw play statistics and crash reports, within about a month of being received, whether or not you ask.
- Kept: Combined statistics with no device code and no name, such as how many players cleared a level and how long it took on average.
Advertising data
The game shows an ad only when you choose to watch one for a reward, served by Google AdMob. The data involved is held by Google, not by us. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier and opt out of ad personalization in your device's Google settings.
Tester emails
If you emailed us to join the test, we hold that email and whatever you wrote. Say so in your request and we delete that too.
